What is a takeaway app?
A takeaway app lets your customers browse your menu, order and pay from their phone, then collect the food at your counter. Takeaway also gives your team a simple order screen, one place to manage the menu, loyalty and campaigns. It is the first solution from STACKD.
How much does the Takeaway solution cost?
Takeaway is free to use. There is no subscription, no setup fee and no hardware purchase. You only pay when you make money: STACKD takes 5% of each order placed through Takeaway, so a quiet day costs you nothing.
Do I need to buy hardware or a POS terminal?
No. There is no hardware purchase at all. The Takeaway Terminal runs on a phone, tablet or computer you already have. A larger screen is nicer during a rush, but any device you own will do.
How long does setup take?
The goal is that an existing takeaway business becomes Takeaway-ready in about 10 minutes. AI Menu Import drafts your products, prices, categories, variants, add-ons and food tags from a photo or upload of your current menu, and you review and approve it. External business and payment verification waiting time is not included.
Does Takeaway do delivery?
Not in the first version. Takeaway V1 is pickup only, which keeps the operation simple and your margin intact.
Can I keep my own customers and loyalty?
Yes. Loyalty is included in Takeaway, so customers earn points on every order and can spend them in the Points Store. Stamp cards are optional and campaigns are yours to run.
